Put your mind at ease!

Selecting the right photographer is difficult, especially when just about anyone can hang out a shingle and claim to be a "Professional Photographer".  Additionally, the sample images you see can be deceiving and is really only part of the equation that makes for a successful photography session.

Ultimately, you need to feel comfortable with the photographer, their skills and the results. A great way to know you are getting one of the best in the business is to look for professional recognition, degrees, and certifications held by the photographer.  These recognitions by the industry and other professtionals provide you with peace of mind knowing that the photographer behind the camera in your session is one of the best of the best.

With literally over a thousand photographers in Massachusetts, Randy Brogen is one of only 36 Professional Photographers in the ENTIRE STATE that has achieved his Certified Professional Photographer certification from the Professsional Photographers Certification Commission.

What is a "Certified Professional Photographer"?

Less than 3% of all imaging professionals have successfully completed and maintained the requirements for Certification.

To make a comparison to the accounting world, there are bookkeepers, accountants, and CPAs (CERTIFIED Public Accountants).  If you get audited, you want a Certified professional in your corner.

It is the same with photographers: problems happen in the form of weather, lighting issues, poor environments, varying body sizes, and equipment failure.  Having a professional in your corner when problems arise will make them seem almost non-existent, and afterward you will love your photographs.

Certification requires passing a comprehensive written exam measuring technical expertise, and successfully submitting work to a panel of judges for review and approval, and judges do not give their approval lightly!

Certification credentials must be renewed through continuing education and submitting work for critical evaluation. If someone says they are certified, you can check by searching here.

Certification is abbreviated as CPP, for Certified Professional Photographer.
